The Durr Family

I love this little family...and not just because I'm sorta supposed to. The gorgeous blonde is my little sister, so that makes the dude, my future brother in law, and that adorable tiny bald guy is my nephew.
I know, I'm one lucky auntie! :)
So, they live almost 3 hours away from me, but the last time I was down for a visit we managed to fit family photos in before we all headed to the lake for tubing. It was a fun day.
Anyhow, here is sampling of their photos.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

American Flag - Our Flag

I've seen a lot of flag waving the last few days and I typically don't like to use social media to make opinions known, mostly because I figure the lot of you don't care and also because I don't feel that it will actually make any kind of difference. I see people argue and get into heated debates and all it really does is succeed in aggravating one another. This morning I was sitting on my couch watching a little photo slideshow and listening to the end of watch from Officer Sonny Kim's funeral and when I stood up, I looked out my front window and saw this (see image below). You can't tell from the photo, but that's the American flag on the neighboring farm. I can't tell you how long that flag has been there, but it's been a good long while and I can tell you that I have stood up from my couch many times and never really seen this flag. Today it caught my attention and I grabbed my camera. I said all that to say this, I don't care what flag you wave. It will likely never have any effect on my life, but I hope that everyone waving flags this week will remember our flag. The American flag is the reason we all have the freedom to wave whatever flag we want and for that I am thankful. Our nation has always banded together when we are threatened or attacked by outside forces, that's just one of the things that makes this country great, yet we seem to create internal conflicts that only make us weak. People scream racism and discrimination, law enforcement is blamed or accused of unjust behavior almost daily. I can promise that in 11 years of answering 911 calls, I have never asked someone their race, sexual preference, religion, etc...Nor have I ever heard a co-worker do that. It does not matter, I just do the best I can to help...everyone!
Again, I don't care what flags you wave or what your beliefs are, all I hope is that we all be respectful of others and wave the American flag as well, because no matter what color you are, who you want to marry, what church you want to worship in...this flag represents us all and we should all vow to defend it. I apologize for being long winded.

Please feel free to share or pin!

Clark Maternity

Hello everyone! Welcome to this super adorable maternity session!

I think this session is pretty exciting for a couple reasons. One, I shot their wedding 3 years ago. Two, the baby is 1 week from his due date in the pics you’re gonna see, and three, this beautiful Mama is literally at the hospital delivering this little bundle while I’m posting these pics.
See, pretty exciting stuff! J
Oh and I have to mention big brother, Joey. This kid is hilarious. He was so much fun at the wedding when he walked his Mama down the aisle and is just as much of a character now.

Love working with this growing family! J

I think this is adorable!! :)

Cute, right?!?!

The next pic is a little throwback from their wedding day! :)

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

Julie and James ~ Engagements

Meet James and Julie!
They are getting married this summer in Utah!
They asked if I could do their engagement photos for them and of course, I was happy to oblige.

We got lucky with a warm (almost too warm at times) day and we just beat the rain. If you look closely at the last pic, you can see raindrops.

This couple was so much fun, seriously hilarious, and very much in love. I love working with people that are so full of joy. I wish them the very best!!
Here’s a small sampling of their photos.

This is the pic you can see raindrops in! :)
