Distortion!

Just a quick note to everyone!
I recently changed the layout of the blog, so many of the images that were previously loaded are distorted a bit. This shouldn’t be a problem in the future, but I will not be going back and reloading all the images. Properly formatted images can be viewed on the facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/JohnsonBranchPhotography?ref=tn_tnmn

Thanks! J

Meet Sean * 5 days old! :)

Yay for new babies! This little fella just happens to be a relative! J
Meet Sean Daniel. He is my Cousin Daniel’s little boy. Daniel and his lovely wife Carrie have two adorable little girls, Colleen and Caitlin and just welcomed their third baby and asked me to take his newborn pics just as I did with his older sisters. I love that they ask me to do the pics and I love that I got to meet all their babies so early in their lives. Enjoy! J

 Sweet little baby smile :)

 Mommy and Daddies wedding rings!

 Distinguished in his tie! :)

He really liked the wooden bowl. He went right to sleep and didn't move.
His big sister, Colleen who is 4, informed me they would need to borrow it for a few weeks. lol!

Such a handsome boy!

 Very proud big sisters!

Little elf hat! Hehehe! ;)

Farm Flower

I love living somewhere I can enjoy all the seasons. I love summer for the reason that most people love summer. Ice cream, long days, fireflies, cook outs, and happy memories of long ago childhoods away from school and a sense of freedom. I love the fall for the harvest, cooler temps, and hunting. I love the snow in the winter and the holidays and I love spring in all its glory of new life. Spring planting on the farm, new little critters, planting flowers, and warming temps. I embrace the change of each season! Once of my favorite things is the flowers in spring time.
My husband and I have now owned our home for 9 years. That doesn’t seem possible really, because we owned for 3 years before we actually lived in it. We purchased our home from my husband’s grandparents and we did a fairly extensive remodel. Our home and the land it sits on have a lot of history. We also get to reap the benefits of a farm wife (grandma) and all the pretty touches she added over the 40 years she and grandpa lived there. We have peonies that are very full and brighten the yard so much. Here is a photo of one of them a few weeks ago on the verge of opening. I love it!

I'm thinking this one needs a frame! ;)

Praying Bunny

Living in the country, we have a multitude of bunnies on our farm. It is not uncommon for me to go outside and see 3-8 little cotton tails at any one time. I shot this image while sitting on my front porch last week just before dark. I thought it was nice he prayed over his meal of grass before partaking. J

Kylie Senior Session

Here’s Kylie!!
I was excited to work with Kylie and help her out with some senior pics. She was a lot of fun to work with and check out her super cute boots on the outdoor pics!! I love them! J

We set up a make shift studio in her high school gym! :)

First time shooting in a locker room. Worked out well! :)

I love that the fence and the bridge were in one location and the bench, stairs, and green vines were all in one other location. Gave us some variety without having to travel all over the place! :)
