Ethan turns 1!

This adorable little man is Ethan and he is 1! J
After about 4 different rain dates, I was finally able to meet with his parents and his sweetheart of a big brother to get Ethan’s photos taken. All of the photos were taken in the family’s backyard, which was great. Beautiful property and the little guy felt right at home….obviously. J
His mama said this was also the first time he had ever had a sucker and he was not letting that thing go. Good thing it matched his outfit! :)

He made some of the cutest little faces! :)

Thanks!

Raccoon!

So, I had a little visitor in my yard. I actually raise Treeing Walker Coonhounds and in the process of training my youngest female we came across this little coon in one of the trees in my yard. Gave me an opportunity for some pretty pics! J

Victoria's Senior Pics

This beautiful senior is my little cousin, Victoria. She actually lives in Tennessee, I’m in Ohio, and so we planned to do her pics at our annual family reunion Memorial Day weekend. All the photos were taken at my Dads cabin in Kentucky. It’s beautiful there and we had a great day for photos.
The instrument that shows up in a couple pics is my Grandpa’s dobro, her great grandpa. He passed away on Veterans Day 2012 and my Dad has the dobro. Victoria is a talented musician, but due to limited car space for traveling, she was not able to bring her guitar. Luckily we were able to use and it was a sweet surprise to most of the family. I may be biased, but these are some of my favorite senior images I have taken to date. She’s a super sweet girl and I know she will do wonderful things in her life.

Thanks!

Busy Summer!

Whew, what a busy summer!
As always, my blogging skills are lacking. I want to get caught up on a few photo shoots and then add some photos from my weekend gals trip with my best girl, Shanna, (yes, our names rhyme – awesome right?)
Stay tuned lots of pics to come!

Thanks!
Hanna :)

Distortion!

Just a quick note to everyone!
I recently changed the layout of the blog, so many of the images that were previously loaded are distorted a bit. This shouldn’t be a problem in the future, but I will not be going back and reloading all the images. Properly formatted images can be viewed on the facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/JohnsonBranchPhotography?ref=tn_tnmn

Thanks! J

Meet Sean * 5 days old! :)

Yay for new babies! This little fella just happens to be a relative! J
Meet Sean Daniel. He is my Cousin Daniel’s little boy. Daniel and his lovely wife Carrie have two adorable little girls, Colleen and Caitlin and just welcomed their third baby and asked me to take his newborn pics just as I did with his older sisters. I love that they ask me to do the pics and I love that I got to meet all their babies so early in their lives. Enjoy! J

 Sweet little baby smile :)

 Mommy and Daddies wedding rings!

 Distinguished in his tie! :)

He really liked the wooden bowl. He went right to sleep and didn't move.
His big sister, Colleen who is 4, informed me they would need to borrow it for a few weeks. lol!

Such a handsome boy!

 Very proud big sisters!

Little elf hat! Hehehe! ;)

Farm Flower

I love living somewhere I can enjoy all the seasons. I love summer for the reason that most people love summer. Ice cream, long days, fireflies, cook outs, and happy memories of long ago childhoods away from school and a sense of freedom. I love the fall for the harvest, cooler temps, and hunting. I love the snow in the winter and the holidays and I love spring in all its glory of new life. Spring planting on the farm, new little critters, planting flowers, and warming temps. I embrace the change of each season! Once of my favorite things is the flowers in spring time.
My husband and I have now owned our home for 9 years. That doesn’t seem possible really, because we owned for 3 years before we actually lived in it. We purchased our home from my husband’s grandparents and we did a fairly extensive remodel. Our home and the land it sits on have a lot of history. We also get to reap the benefits of a farm wife (grandma) and all the pretty touches she added over the 40 years she and grandpa lived there. We have peonies that are very full and brighten the yard so much. Here is a photo of one of them a few weeks ago on the verge of opening. I love it!

I'm thinking this one needs a frame! ;)
