Adventures with Taylor. Senior Session!

Here are a few of Taylor's pics. She has been so much fun to work with and has been up for all kinds of fun locations and pics. Taylor is honestly as sweet as she is pretty.
We have had some adventures during the couple of photos sessions that we have had. We did our initial shoot with her horses. During that session she was bit and stepped on. The next session was in a sunflower field. We got within 1/4 mile of the field and couldn't get to to it due to an accident on the road. This ended up working out better for the photos. We went to another couple of little places nearby and got some great shots then went back to the sunflower field and the light was perfect. With flowers comes bees and this field had no shortage. We managed to escape any stings, but poor Taylor wound up with a terrible case of poison sumac. The next session was at some hiking trails by a lake and we had amazing fall colors and we managed to escape any real problems during that shoot.
We are still planning to do one more session of Taylor with her horse show awards. The following images are a couple of samples from the first 3 sessions.

The above image is her buckskin yearling, Pistol.

This big bay is Raisin. Raisin was an absolute ham for the camera and really is this pretty. I didn't retouch the horse at all. :)

I love that this shot really shows just how big the horse is.

On our little side trip due to the accident by the field, we found a couple really cool little buildings.

 Loved the sunflowers!!

I think that Mossy Oak found a new model....and a new photographer. (hint hint Mossy Oak) ;)

Stayed tuned for images of Taylor in the new year. We still have one more shoot to do. :)

Baby Hank!

I had the pleasure of taking 3 months pics/family pics of some good friends of mine. Here are some pics of Baby Hank with his Mama and Papa, Aunt and Uncle, his Grandpa and Grandpa, and his little dog. ;)

This shoot was so much fun and Hank was so good the whole time.

One a side note, the pumpkins in the shots were grown by Uncle Keith. :)

Kelsey Senior Pics

Here are a few of Kelsey's Senior pics from the summer. Kelsey was a natural with posing! :)

Kayla Senior Shoot

Here are a few of Kayla's senior pics that I took over the summer. :)

Been Away

Hello followers,

I have not been on here in months and for that I am sorry, but happy for having been so busy lately. I have gone back to school for my Master's degree and have been doing lots of different types of photo projects. I am enjoying a nice little break from school for the holidays and thought I would do some catching up. So, I will be posting a few blog posts in the next couple of days! :)

Rock the Shot June Challenge: Dads!

The June photo challenge over at Rock the Shot, http://www.rocktheshotforum.com/, is Dads with their little ones.

My submission is a photo that I took of my big brother and his little boy, Cas, when he was just a week old. He's 10 months now. Of all the photos I have taken of Dads with their kids, this is one of my favorites. Granted, I am a biased aunt! :)

Processing on this photo was pretty basic. Turned it black and white, added a bit of a burnt edge, and smoothed the babies skin a little. :)
